Home Health Aide Qualifications

• Meet the training and /or certification requirements of the state of Ohio. This includes specifications of contracted agencies for which services are being provided.

• Active and verifiable State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) or Certified Nursing Assistant CNA certification in application state, one year of supervised, verifiable experience within the last 3years OR complete minimum of 30 hours of related training.

• Be at least eighteen (18) years of age.

• Demonstrated ability to read, write, and follow a written Plan of Care.

• Good interpersonal skills and a passion for caring for those in need.

• Current driver’s license, good driving record, and/or reliable transportation is required.

• 1+ years of experience is highly preferred.

• Frequently standing walking, stooping/bending infrequent squatting/kneeling and balancing

• Weight handled: push, force required 30-50 lbs. (at times)

Work Environment

Works indoors in agency office and patient homes and travels to/from patient homes.
